The city center is close to the exit from port; It is not the cleanest city I visited, but you can find a bazaar, electronics stores and even a supermarket (Mono Prix) where you can shop various things. For communication, you can opt for Ooredoo with a good offer for the Internet; you need a passport to buy a sim card. Restaurants where you can enjoy a beer or coffee or even eat something are even farther from this area, somewhere in the turistic zone and we were helped by a local in the way of transportation. For money exchange you can go to the bank, which is opened weekdays untill 1600 hours, postal office or you can use 24hrs ATM. Authorities are a big pain in the ass due to the fact that they ask for many many presents; i.e. they left from our ship with about 24 cartons of cigarettes, 4 casses of beer, another 2 of soft drink and many other goods from the bonded store, plus money; but that's the use of port.

Not a very large port and for that reason not a big distance to the gate which goes outside directly in the City Center. Bus station, many coffee shops and restaurants, money exchange office exactly near the gate, shopping places and even three medium commercial centers. Many locals speak good enough english so you can obtain different informations needed at a momment. I found it easy to negociate with a electronics store guy when it was about to spend 500$ in his store :) Nice city, clean, beautiful sightings... It worths to go outside for a walk and even places to visit if you have enough time.
